2022/01/19 2nd Technical Seminar on Decentralized Wastewater Management in Lao PDR

Although the actual benefit of the Wastewater management is not easily to be visualized, it is one of the key issues to achieve the SDGs and, will contribute for protecting the water resources and fundamental condition of people's health. Furthermore, clean and scenic water environment would attract the tourist from overseas countries.
This 2nd Technical Seminar on Decentralized Wastewater Management in Lao PDR, will Follow up the 1st Technical Seminar, and would like to focus on sharing the knowledge and experiences on decentralized wastewater management, and exchanging ideas within Ministry of the Public Works and Transport of Lao PDR and Ministry of the Environment of Japan, how to promote the decentralized wastewater management.​
​In this 2nd Seminar, we would especially focus on the theme "Tariff mechanism, financial supporting system of central / local government", "Needs for Capacity Development in the domestic wastewater sector", and "case study of Johkasou installation project outside Japan" according to the request from MPWT. Also, MOWJ and PWT will disccuss on the further cooperation between both Ministries.
